$145.00
The piece is made of hammered copper and brass, and adorned with two toned green enamel, for which the atelier was known, and a jadeite “eye”. There is both a pin and a loop on the back. The iconic Casa Maya hallmark stamp is found on the back of the piece. This piece is found in Sandy Hargrove’s book “Maya Mexico Jewelry; An Informational Guide”. The piece is in very good vintage condition with a nice patina – we do not polish any of our pieces prior to selling them.
A highly collectible piece, and a great example of unique wearable Mexican art from a creative and skilled workshop that was popular enough to have their own storefront in Mexico City during the 1950s.
